Winter Day Out #4- BONES!

The Harvard Museum of Natural History might possibly be the most under-talked-about cool place to bring kids in this area.

Seriously- what an awesome place.

It's not geared towards kids, so it's not slammin' busy with little people. In fact, it was just us, a few Harvard-looking students, and some nerdy adults. The kids had an amazing opportunity to explore this place pretty much on their own.
Jennie LOVED the bones. LOVED. She kept yelling, "Wow!" Seriously- she must have yelled it 1,500 times.
Ty was blown away by the bones and minerals.
He was intrigued by all of the stuffed dead animals- and was very interested in them being dead. He must have told me 23 times, "That (insert animal name here) is not alive, Mom. It died. The scientists saved it so we can learn."
So for $2 a person with a library pass, this museum is so very much worth a trip to Cambridge.

Great tip! Was looking for some place to go over Feb vaca with the nephews. They are 6 & 8 and would probably love it! Is there a lunch place there?
