OK, So the event was called "A Day out with Thomas," but if Rob and Katy are your parents, it's more like 50 minutes.
We brought Ty and Jennie to Edaville Railroad today for their Thomas event... we thought it was just a little train ride, so we made reservations, and showed up right on time for our 4:10 train reservation. Um, HELLO- we had no clue that this place was a mini theme park... for toddlers... and it closes at 5pm... Oops. While we were just coming through the gates, hoards of exhausted children who had truly spent a day with Thomas were being shepherded to their car seats by their frustrated parents. Ty was raring to go.
Thank goodness Tyler is still 1 and very easy to please. He was more than happy with a twenty minute train trip, 3 kiddie rides, and a balloon. We stopped at McDonald's on the way home and saw some construction vehicles in the parking lot. Now THAT was a highlight. We probably could have saved $39.99 and just gone to the McDonald's parking lot.
He must have really loved his hour with Thomas though, because he insisted on taking his little Thomas toy into his bath with him, where he gently washed Thomas's "hair" with a tiny bit of Jennie's dandruff shampoo. He let Thomas choose his bedtime story and is now sleeping peacefully in his bed, with Thomas, of course... and a firetruck. :)Oh, and Amy... feel free to laugh. Yet another "I'll never..." bites the dust.

You probably had more fun since it wasn't as crowded! Tyler looks like he is loving that! Did Jennie like looking at everything?
A.J just got into Thomas the Train. He would have had a blast just like Ty seemed to have. It's the little things right? :o)
Katie you have such a beautiful little family!! ♥♥♥
We've done the Thomas the Tank Day at Edaville in the past and you probably had a better plan. You'll just have to go back at Christmas for the lights...we usually go Christmas eve- a Demo tradition- hard to break!
I'd much rather Jack be into Thomas than BARNEY!
Here, here Mae! Barrrrrney. GROSS!
Love the pics Katy!
He's enjoying that too much. Have the kid screened.
Who knew Thomas could be so much fun? The kids are freakin CUTE!!!
Ah, now y'all are starting the Edaville Railroad and childhood memories of train rides. Next thing on the list: hay wagon rides, and "It's A Small World" in Disney!!

I remember going to Edaville as a kid at Christmas for a train ride to see the lights. Sounds like a fun outing!
