We are home from the Cape! Ty and Jennie really enjoyed time with their grandparents.
While we were there, we noticed a signboard for a pancake breakfast at a local fire station. Since it combined Ty's favorite food (pancakes) and current obsession (fire trucks), Rob and I decided to take him. It was by far the bast day of Tyler's young life. He was SO excited. He couldn't believe he got to drive the truck, and now tries to get in the driver seat of our PT Cruiser every time we have to get in the car.Yes, he's wearing a hat. He didn't get it at the breakfast- it's his. He has it in the car- always. You know, in case he happens to be in a situation where he needs it... like a trip to the grocery store or a pancake breakfast at the station.
Below, look closely at Ty's hands- he's making the sign for "more," as in "More fire trucks, NOW." No, he's not one of those genius kids who signs everything- he only knows "more" and "done..." the signs that matter when it comes to food. :)

Awww, Katy, what a great treat for Ty! I love seeing him driving the truck! What a hero he looks like! LOVE the pic of him signing 'more'. So sweet! You crack me up with your commentary! :)
Good times, Tyler.... and looks how your shoes and hat match the trucks!
And to think if we had only gone to that Pancake breakfast 1½ hrs later, we would have been there to see him. Not every child is color coordinated when visiting a fire station!
