We went to visit a friend in Central Massachusetts yesterday. I had big visions of bringing the kids to the fruit and vegetable farm where we're getting our CSA from this summer- you know... so they could learn all about where their food comes from, appreciate vegetables, glean some spinach... didn't happen.
So instead, we went to a little tourist destination type place- Davis Farmland. I knew pretty much nothing about it going in... but what a neat place! It's basically a ginormous petting zoo with a ton of baby animals... some really cool rare farm animals, too- like sheep with 6 horns?!
Ty and Jennie both loved it.
Jennie brushing a donkey, named Jennie:On the hayride:
Jennie attempted to feed this sheep. Since she didn't have a cup of feed, Jennie improvised with grass. The sheep was not interested.
Tyler got to go into a special pen and hold a baby goat. Jennie couldn't go in, because she refused to put her snack cup down.
Joke is on you, Jennie:
This little cow was just 9 days old! So sweet!
